What is SIP?
SIP Canada is an innovative start-up run by a western Canada national Aquahacking competition finalist team, who are also an Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Impact fund-award-winning group of engineering students at the University of British Columbia – Okanagan.
But SIP is not just an innovative startup that manufactures water-filtering backpacks. SIP is a campaign that strives towards an increase in water quality globally. SIP is a platform to speak about water disparity issues.
What are our goals?
Here at SIP, we aim to improve water quality by increasing education levels and by shining a light on existing water issues.
We hope to do that by designing interactive applications that would spark an interest regarding these water issues in the youth. We also hope to simplify water data and make it more accessible, so adults can learn more if they choose to.
